Grab your favorite holiday-themed cookie and join us for an informal chat with Mr. Christopher Okezie, FACHE, System Vice President of operations for Harris Health System. This is part of our popular Coffee with the Chiefs series, an event brought to you by ACHE-SETC’s Networking & Relations Committee.

Christopher Okezie Bio

Christopher Okezie

Mr. Chris Okezie is currently the System Vice President of Operations for Harris Health System.  His Harris Health System career spans more than 23 years.  He currently manages System Operations including Financial Management and Support Operations Departments. His scope of responsibility includes the management and oversight of a $200 million budget and approximately 450 employees.  He plays a key role in the development and deployment of varied operations and clinical strategies.

Chris’ career at Harris Health also includes work as Vice President of Operations at LBJ Hospital, System Vice President for Ancillary and Support Services.  At LBJ, he oversaw financial management, support operations and community partnerships. He played a key role in the development and deployment of a variety of operational and clinical strategies.  As System Vice President for Ancillary and Support Services, he managed several system-wide department including supply chain, Pharmacy, Food and Nutrition, Security, Environmental services, and Logistics/Transportation.

Chris earned a BS in Accounting and a BA in Business Administration from University of Houston.  He also has an MBA in Finance from Letourneau University, and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executive (FACHE). Currently serves on several boards to include the American College of Healthcare Executives – South East Chapter and the South Houston Economic Development Corporation.

Chris enjoys golf, spending time with family and rooting for the Houston Texans and Manchester United
