2024 President’s Letter

Dear ACHE-SETC Chapter Members,

As we launch into 2024, I am honored to step into the role of President for our esteemed chapter. With great enthusiasm and gratitude, I write to you today to extend my warmest wishes for the upcoming year and reflect on our collective accomplishments.

First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. Greg Haralson our outgoing President, Mark Biscone – Executive Director of Operations, Chapter Board Members, Committee Chairs and Members, who have dedicated their time and expertise to our chapter. Your unwavering commitment and passion have been the driving force behind our success. Whether it was organizing events, sharing knowledge, or providing support, your efforts have made a lasting impact on our community. Thank you for your invaluable contribution. By all measures our chapter had a remarkably successful 2023:

  • Membership increased from 1,550 to nearly 1,800 – a new record for our Chapter’s membership.
  • Chapter events increased from to a record-high 63 in 2023.
  • Increasing the numbers of new Fellows to 26 in 2023.
  • National ACHE recognition with multiple awards for 2023;

Award of Sustained Performance, Award for Chapter Excellence and the sole Undergraduate HEN Award with Brazosport College.

As we embark on this new year, it is crucial to remember the significant work that lies ahead of us. Our commitment to advancing healthcare management excellence remains steadfast, and we must embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The healthcare landscape is evolving rapidly, and it is our collective responsibility to stay informed, adapt, and lead.

In the face of the Covid pandemic, we witnessed the resilience and dedication of healthcare professionals firsthand. As members of ACHE-SETC, we must continue to support and uplift one another. Let us prioritize collaboration and knowledge-sharing within our community, empowering each other to overcome obstacles and make a positive impact on patient care.

Together, we have the power to shape the future of healthcare management. Let us work towards fostering innovation, embracing diversity and inclusion, and championing ethical leadership. By leveraging our collective expertise and experiences, we can drive meaningful change and improve healthcare outcomes for all.

I am excited and honored to lead this incredible chapter, and I encourage each and every one of you to actively engage and contribute to our shared mission. Your participation and involvement are vital to the success of our chapter and the ACHE organization.

As we embark on the journey ahead, let us face the new year with optimism, resilience, and a renewed commitment to excellence. I am confident that, together, we will make great strides in advancing healthcare leadership and management.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous and prosperous new year!

Warmest regards,
