Kids’ Meals mission is to end childhood hunger in Houston by delivering free healthy meals, year-round to the doorsteps of Houston’s hungriest preschool-aged children and through collaboration provide their families with resources to end the cycle of poverty. At the event, volunteers will be assigned to roles either in the kitchen or in packing rooms. Volunteers in the kitchen will work to make sandwiches and prepare snacks, and volunteers in the packing rooms will pack the meal items into bags to be delivered. Children under 8 may not volunteer, and anyone under the age of 18 must have someone 18 years or older to accompany them. 20 volunteers will be needed.
