Join fellow members of the American College of Healthcare Executives Southeast Texas Chapter (ACHE-SETC) in making a tangible impact on our community by volunteering at the Houston Food Bank. Our collective efforts will support the distribution of nutritious food to those in need, embodying our commitment to health and well-being.
Volunteers will engage in various essential tasks, including:
- Inspecting and Sorting Food: Ensuring donated food items meet safety standards and organizing them for distribution.
- Repacking Dry Goods: Dividing bulk food items into family-sized portions for easier distribution.
- Assisting in Meal Preparation: Preparing and packaging hot meals in the Keegan Kitchen for daily distribution to community locations where children gather after school.
- Please note that specific projects will be assigned based on the Houston Food Bank’s current needs.
Volunteer Requirements: Age: Volunteers must be at least 6 years old. Those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Attire: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory for safety reasons.
Registration: All participants must register for the volunteer shift in advance. Registration deadline is May 10, 2025. We are limited to 20 participants
