Justin Doss, MBA, FACHE, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas (BHSET), a position he assumed on May 3, 2021. With over 17 years of progressive and accomplished leadership in healthcare, Mr. Doss is dedicated to enhancing financial and operational performance to ensure long-term growth and service to local communities.
Before joining BHSET, Mr. Doss served as President and CEO of Christus Spohn Health System in Corpus Christi, Texas, overseeing six campuses with 1,000 beds. During his tenure, he demonstrated his ability to drive growth and foster collaboration. Earlier in his career, he spent nine years with HCA Healthcare, serving in roles such as Associate Administrator with the Methodist Health System in San Antonio, Texas, and Chief Operating Officer in Florida and Texas.
Mr. Doss holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
A committed community leader, Mr. Doss has served on various boards and organizations and played a key role as a disaster recovery volunteer during the Hurricane Harvey recovery period. Along with his wife, Amy, and their three children, he has embraced the Beaumont area as their home, inspired by the mission and vision of BHSET. Under his leadership, BHSET continues its commitment to providing quality healthcare in a faith-based, patient-focused environment, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the Southeast Texas community.
