Join us for the next in our series of guided tastings – Tequila!
Tequila is a type of distilled alcohol made from the Blue Agave plant, and one of the most popular alcoholic drinks in the world. It was first produced in the 16th century, and its origins can be traced back to the city of Tequila, Mexico. There are several different varieties of tequila, and it is a key ingredient in popular cocktails such as a Margarita, Paloma, Tequila Sunrise, and Ranch Water. Although the alcohol content can vary, most tequilas are somewhere between 35%-55% ABV (alcohol by volume).
This event will be facilitated both in-person, and virtually, with Jason Ruth guiding through a tasting of four types of, and five different, Tequilas:
- Blanco – Volans Ultra Premium Tequila
- Anejo – Tapatio Tequila
- Reposado – Cazcanes No 7
- Extra Anejo – Tequila Ocho El Bajio Single Estate 2018
- Extra Anejo – Codigo 1530 Origen
The event will be recorded for registrants that would like to enjoy the guided tasting on their own time. All proceeds will go towards the ACHE-SETC Scholarship Program!
