During the 3rd Quarter Educational Session Chapter President, Michelle M. Riley-Brown announced the winners of this year’s academic scholarships:

• Sonia Ahsan – Texas Woman’s University, Texas Medical Center (Sonia received the David J. Fine, FACHE Academic Scholarship check for $5,000)
• Sunayana Chopra – Texas A & M Health Science Center  (Sunayana received the Dan S. Wilford, LFACHE Academic Scholarship check for $5,000)
• Tim Clark – University of Texas Health Science Center, Texas Medical Center (Tim received the ACHE-SETC Academic Scholarship check for $5,000)
• Devin Davies – University of Texas Health Science Center, Texas Medical Center (Devin received the Dr. Jeptha W. Dalston, FACHE Academic Scholarship check for $5,000)
• Vanessa Lee – Texas A & M – School of Rural Public Health (Vanessa received the Donald B. Wagner, LFACHE Academic Scholarship check for $5,000

Scholarship applicants submitted all required information. In addition, they completed an essay on a case study. Your Chapter Board based their decision on the recommendations of a Board-appointed committee that reviewed each applicant’s submitted application and case study analysis.

For the past seven years your Chapter has awarded academic scholarships to HA graduate students in the southeast Texas region to provide them monetary support to assist them as they pursue a career in healthcare administration.
