Join the American College of Healthcare Executives – Southeast Texas Chapter (ACHE-SETC) for a day of service at the Houston Food Bank, the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States. Volunteers will come together to help sort, package, and prepare nutritious meals for distribution to families and individuals facing food insecurity across the Greater Houston area.
This event reflects our ongoing commitment to community impact, health equity, and service leadership. By volunteering, we not only support those in need but also strengthen the bond among healthcare leaders dedicated to making a difference beyond the walls of our organizations.

Attire: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory for safety reasons. Casual dress, long pants (preferred), t-shirt with sleeves. Bring work gloves if desired.
Special Notes: All volunteers under the age of 18 also need to complete a Minor Waiver Form signed by a parent or guardian. Volunteers under the age of 14 must complete a Minor Waiver Form signed by a parent or guardian and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the shift. A copy of the minor waiver form can be downloaded by clicking the RESOURCES tab on your Volunteer Profile page.
Description of Duties: this will vary with the makeup of the volunteers on the shift. Most of the projects of the warehouse involve inspecting, sorting, and re-packaging of donated food items for community distribution.
