Community Service Opportunity: The Beacon – Sept 2026

September 12 @ 7:00 am - 10:00 am

Engage. Empower. Make a Difference.

Join ACHE-SETC as we partner with The Beacon for a meaningful volunteer opportunity focused on serving individuals experiencing homelessness within our community. The Beacon serves as a vital hub of support, providing essential services including hot meals, shower and laundry facilities, mailbox services, civil legal aid, and resource referrals designed to help individuals begin the journey toward stability and long-term housing solutions.

As volunteers, we have the opportunity to do more than provide support—we can build relationships, restore hope, and serve with dignity, compassion, and respect. Through the Way Home community response system, The Beacon connects individuals with supportive services and housing resources that help create pathways toward lasting change.

Often serving as the first point of contact for many individuals experiencing homelessness, The Beacon plays a critical role in helping people take their first steps toward rebuilding their lives. We invite our ACHE members and community partners to join us in making a meaningful impact through service, connection, and compassion.

Together, we can strengthen our community and help change lives—one person at a time.

To ensure a safe and positive experience for all volunteers and guests, please review the following requirements prior to registering: • Minimum volunteer age is 13 years old. • Volunteers ages 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. • Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for active volunteer service. • Closed-toe shoes are required for safety purposes.
