Regent’s Winter 2015 Message

regentDear Colleagues,

It was great seeing so many of you attend our quarterly educational session last month. Scott B. McClelland, President of H-E-B’s Houston and Central Market Division, provided a great talk covering creative thinking, challenging the norm, service and product differentiation, and adapting to change. As the final speaker in the series, Scott provided quite a bit for us to consider as we develop plans for the future and proactively respond to market changes.

I’d like to personally thank our outgoing Chapter President, Craig Cordola, for his tireless efforts on behalf of ACHE and our chapter. He led our Board and committees through a very successful year of events aimed at enrichment, education and service. Each of the quarterly speakers that he selected provided thought provoking and insightful information in line with this year’s educational theme of, “Leading Change in Uncertain Times.” Craig clearly led the growth and strength of our chapter, sustaining us as the 6th largest chapter of the 80 recognized by the College.

I would also like to welcome our incoming Chapter President, Jack Buckley. Jack is clearly dedicated to the advancement of our profession and has been an extremely active board and committee member. He has worked diligently to introduce students to ACHE and provide them with a comprehensive healthcare management learning experience. Please provide him with your support as he takes the helm in January to lead the renowned South East Texas Chapter!

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Regent and all the best to you, your families and your organizations as we begin another dynamic year!

Warmest Regards,
Jessie
