Luminare, an ACHE-SETC Strategic Partner, is working with Epic to improve sepsis outcomes

A recent JAMA study that was published last month reported that “the Epic Sepsis Model poorly predicts sepsis; its widespread adoption despite poor performance raises fundamental concerns about sepsis management on a national level.”

Epic is one of the most widely used systems and has a very broad set of capabilities. Just like other very complex systems, point software solutions are built to allow us to get into the depth of sepsis process improvement. Sagitta by Luminare helps hospitals by quickly identifying patterns and either prevents sepsis or ensures timely treatment to get patients home faster.

Luminare is actively working with Epic on an interoperability showcase to show how their system, Sagitta, interacts and aids Epic users in the detection and treatment of sepsis.

Luminare will be presenting our Sagitta solution with Epic at HIMSS 2021. Luminare will have a kiosk at C200-11 and will be presenting our interoperable solution with Epic at Booth C200-131.
