Trisha Amboree

Trisha Amboree received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas and her Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from UTHealth School of Public Health. She is currently a third year PhD student in Epidemiology and works as a full-time researcher at UTHealth School of Public Health. Trisha specializes in both field and analytic epidemiology, and has over 5 years of experience working with populations at high risk for HIV and other related infectious diseases. Her research interests include the epidemiology of infectious diseases with a focus in racial/ethnic health disparities and disease prevention in under-served and hidden populations.

Kiana Adams-Baker was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in Gender and Women’s studies from the University of Arizona. Currently, Ms. Adams-Baker is a 2nd year Master student graduate student at UTHealth in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences with a certificate in Maternal and Child Health. Kiana is also certified community health worker and Certified Health Education Specialist. Her public health interest as sexual health in adolescents, combating social determinants of health, overcoming health inequities, and eliminating racism for health care.

Natasha Marshall was proudly born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services with a concentration in Addictions from Alabama State University. Currently, Ms. Marshall is a 2nd semester graduate student at UTHealth in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences with a certificate in Health Disparities. Her public health interests include health equity and hands on community health work to prioritize the transition of work from the page (articles) to the public.

Elisha Crane is a current master’s student in epidemiology and also a graduate assistant in the Office of Public Health Practice and Engagement. Born in Kentucky, he was raised in Texas and completed his undergraduate at Texas A&M University as a public health major. Here at the School of Public Health, his area of professional interest is identifying and addressing disparities at the population level through applied statistics. Liz Flores is a 2021 BHA/MHA graduate from Texas State University. She lives in the Houston area, where she is a member of the Southeast Texas Chapter of ACHE and has been an active member of ACHE since 2018. Liz is currently an intern for Houston Methodist Hospital’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Department through December 2021. As a new graduate, Liz aspires to become a project manager.

Gevin Dray

Gevin Dray focuses on effective and efficient ways to assist his professors in their daily activities which include hospital affiliation agreements, research papers, and miscellaneous projects in his day job as an graduate instructional assistant. During his undergrad at Texas State University, Gevin studied biology where he learned life processes at all levels-molecular, cellular, organismal, ecological, and received valuable clinical skills. He is now pursuing his Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Texas State University where he is expected to graduate in May 2022. He holds multiple leadership roles in various academic and professional organizations. He is the School of Health Administration Representative for the College of Health Professions Council of Student Leadership, Volunteer Coordinator for Texas State University’s Healthcare Leadership Coalition, the Student Liaison for the American College of Healthcare Executives Central Texas Chapter, and Student Liaison for the Healthcare Financial Management Association South Texas Chapter. He loves his hometown Houston, Texas, but now residing in San Marcos, Texas he utilizes ACHE events and activities to expand his professional network in the South/Central Texas Region. He hopes to create meaningful connections which will lead to life-long friendships and wonderful memories as he begins his professional career.
